The Cuban freediver Rolando Salgado, who has been living in the USA for several years, closes the year 2024 with two new AIDA continental pool freediving records, after his outstanding participation in the United States National Indoor Apnea Championship UNU Tampa Bay Freediving Challenge 2024 held on the weekend of December 14 and 15.
Rolando achieved a mark of 210 meters in Dynamic without Fins (DNF), surpassing his previous continental record of 188 meters, as well as an official mark of 299 meters in Dynamic with Monofin (DYN), also improving his previous record of 255 meters.
In this way, Rolando culminates a great year, after being crowned World Champion in dynamic bi-fins with 255 meters at the 32nd AIDA World Freediving Pool Championships, held in Kaunas, Lithuania from June 21 to 29, 2024. having also implemented the 3 CMAS PanAmerican Records in the dynamics modalities at the 14th CMAS World Freediving Championships indoor 2024 held in Belgrade, Serbia from July 4 to 10, 2024
