The Chinesse Freediver Ming (William Joy) Jin on making history as the first ever freediving world record holder from your country! in the International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA).
With an outstanding 307m dive in Dynamic (DYN) at the AIDA 2024 Asian Pool Championship in Goyangsi, Republic of Korea on august 25th, he’s set a new benchmark in the AIDA community (pending doping results).
The previous AIDA World Record was 301m from Guillame Buirdola of France set on June 2022.
William already achieved an amazing 311m earlier this year, but as that event didn’t meet AIDA’s world record criteria, this official dive now finally secures his place in the record books.
