The Russian freediver (competing as an independent international athlete) Alexey Molchanov achieves a new World Record for the International Association for the Development of Apnea (AIDA) with the deepest absolute recorded dive in the Constant Weight with Bifins modality, with a depth of 125 meters, performed on Tuesday, September 10 during the 33rd AIDA World Apnea Championships taking place in Ajaccio, France from September 4 to 15, 2024.


(The World Record will be made official after the results of the doping controls)

RESULTS

Molchanov’s previous AIDA world record was 123 meters, achieved in 2023, while he himself also holds the world record in this modality for the World Confederation of Underwater Activities (CMAS) with a record of 124 meters, also achieved in the year 2023.
