🇨🇺 International Underwater Photo Competition Fotosub Cuba 2016

The Marinas and Nautical Company, MARLIN S.A., announces through ECOTUR Travel Agency and with the consultancy of the Cuban Federation of Underwater Activities (FCAS), the International Underwater Photography Event “FOTOSUB 2016” to be held at the Colony Hotel, Punta Frances National Park, Isla de la Juventud, Cuba, from April 27 to May 1.

FOTOSUB is an event of competitive nature in the form of Open. Its main objective is the selection and presentation of photographs of flora and underwater fauna taken during the days of competition. Only accredited photographers and models that comply with the provisions of the competition rules of the contest may participate.

Competition Schedule:

April 27:
8:00 Departure from hotel in Havana. Transfer of participants to the fishing port “La Coloma” to embark boat bound for the Colony Hotel, Isla de la Juventud.
Lunch on board the boat.
Arrival at the Colony Hotel.
Welcome cocktail. Accreditation.
Technical meeting.
Opening ceremony. Welcome dinner.

April 28:
7:00 to 8:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 Transfer to the Diving Center at Marina Siguanea.
9:30 Departure of boats for diving points. Completion of two competition dives. Lunch on the boats.
17:00 Return to the Marina.
17:30 Transfer to the hotel.
20:00 Dinner at the hotel.

April 29:
7:00 to 8:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 Transfer to the Diving Center Marina Siguanea.
9:30 Departure of boats for diving points. Completion of two competition dives. Lunch on the boats.
17:00 Return to the Marina.
17:30 Transfer to the hotel (from this time participant selects their best pictures and presents to the jury before 8:30 on April 29).
20:00 Dinner at the hotel.

April 30:
7:00 to 8:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
8:30 Transfer of participants to the Marina Siguanea. Starting of selection of winning photos by the jury.
9:30 Departure of boats for diving points. Completion of two optional dives out of competition. Lunch on board of the boats.
17:00 Return to the Marina.
17:30 Transfer to the hotel
20:00 Dinner at the hotel. Awards activities and closing ceremony.

May 1:
05:30-06:00 Breakfast at the hotel.
07:00 Participation in the parade in Nueva Gerona and city tour.
11:00 Return to Havana.
