🇮🇹 Five New CMAS World Records on Italian Freediving Championships FIPSAS – Torino 2025

From April 11 to 13, 2025, the National Indoor Freediving Championships were held in Turin, Italy, in the junior, senior, and master categories, as well as the National Paralympic Freediving Championships. These events were organized by the Italian Federation of Sport Fishing and Underwater Activities (FIPSAS) with the endorsement and presence of international judges from the World Underwater Federation (CMAS).
Valentina Crivello, in the 100m speed, beat the previous record of 40.47 set by Turkish athlete Adasu Ramazanoglu at the 2024 World Championships with a time of 39.42 seconds.
Later, Serena Rebosio also achieved the new junior world record in the 8×50 speed event with a time of 5 minutes 36.66 seconds, also improving the Turkish athlete’s previous mark of 6:02.48.
In the Paralympic category, the three world records were as follows:
Fabrizio Pagani, in Dynamic with a distance of 140.50 meters, surpassing the previous world record held by Frenchman Mathieu Leblanc by 6.50 meters.
Husband and wife Pierluigi Bonafin and Michela Dal Bianco set world records in Dynamic Bifins with distances of 115.50 and 94.50 meters, respectively.
