The World Underwater Federation (CMAS) organized the 3rd World Freediving Championship in the Outdoor modalities (at sea), from october 1st to 7th, 2018 in the city of KaÅŸ, Turkey, with the organization of the Federation of Underwater Activities of that country (TSSF).
After an incident, which included the suspension of part of the 1st day on Tuesday 2 and the entire 2nd day on Wednesday October 3 due to security problems, on Thursday 4, Sunday 5 and Saturday 6 October were taken out the rest of the World Championship events, which were recorded, as expected, several world and continental records

Turkey successfully organized the 2nd edition of the Outdoor World Championship in 2016 and the 1st edition of the European Outdoor Championship in 2017 in the same location, so a great event is expected in the organizational and sporting level.
